This evening a good friend of mine , who had read my recent blog entries, reminded me not to forget what the "important things are". This coming from a man that deals with life and death every day. Sometimes we get all wrapped up in the material, that we forget to count our blessings. I'm grateful for so much in my life . For having a loving family,Certain Someone, great friends, and most importantly health and hope. I'll take health and hope over the immaterial any day.

And don't forget to be grateful for the good weather, fine chocolate, and decadent wine selection available in Chicago right now - I know that all those things have contributed to my enjoyment of this summer season :)
ReplyDeleteAmen Sisters ........ and safe in the knowledge that the good Lord will allow you to wake up the next day, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready and capable to do it all over again. It's not the amount of dinero in your bank account that matters but the amount of social capital (brownie-points) you accumulate along the way. You stay your own person (people??).... whatever the plural is.
